Enjoy the countryside and raise money for historic churches!
The Sussex Ride and Stride Event is run by the Sussex Historic Churches Trust and is a fundraising event aimed at encouraging people to hike, run, cycle or ride to visit churches across Sussex.
Sponsorship of those taking part raises money to support your chosen church directly (50% of funds raised) and The Historic Churches Trust (50% of funds raised). The Historic Churches trust has helped the Octagon in the past, most notably recently helping with the costs for the repair of a fallen roof beam at St Peter’s East Marden.
Churches throughout the Octagon will be open for visitors on that day and several will be offering refreshments.
