Do you love St Mary’s Church in Stoughton and are you interested in taking a more active role? Are you looking to take an active part in supporting the local community? The Local Warden is responsible for the day-to-day running of the church at Stoughton, working alongside The Octagon Churchwardens and the members of St Mary’s Church Parish Local Committee. Duties include ensuring that the church is prepared for fortnightly regular services, liaising with wedding and funeral organisers, and working with the Churchwardens, Rector and Parish Administrator to ensure the smooth running of church activities. An interest in helping with fundraising to support St Mary’s would also be desirable, but not essential.
You do not need to be a regular worshipper. Opportunities to join the Parochial Church Council as a Trustee of the Parish are also available.
