Christmas Services Across the Octagon Parish

We have a full calendar of Christmas services across the Octagon churches this year with something on offer for everyone. All of our churches will be hosting carol services (except North Marden) during December, starting with Racton on the 12th December.

The Up Marden carol service will be a ticketed event for the first time this year in order to keep numbers to a reasonable level. These tickets will be made available to Up Marden residents before a general release date of  1st December.

There will be collections of food and household items for Chichester Foodbank throughout December – items to be brought to any regular Octagon 10am service or dropped off at The Vicarage. This will culminate in a ‘Cold Eucharist’ service at Up Marden on the 19th December at 10am, where a cash collection will be made for StonePillow in Chichester.

Compton Midnight Mass has been brought forward to 10pm to appeal to a wider audience.

Although attendees will be encouraged to wear masks and test before attending services it will be difficult to maintain social distancing measures. Please do not attend any services if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or indeed any flu virus. We will be providing a quiet eucharistic service for Christmas that will be socially distanced on the 26th December at 9:30am in Compton St Mary.
