The Octagon Parish Welcomes our New Rector

The Revd Christopher Hancock MA FCA will be starting in post as Rector of The Octagon Parish from the end of January.
Christopher trained with the Local Minsitry Programme: Guildford and was ordained Deacon on the 3rd July 2016 at Charterhouse School. He served his Title at St Martin’s Epsom before being priested on 1st July 2017. He returned to his home parish of Headley with Box Hill on 5th November 2017.
Since ordination he has continued to work in finance as a company director and corporate financier – as he says “balancing the spiritual with the secular”

He is an Oblate of Westminster Abbey and a friend of Pusey House in Oxford and has developed a strong attachment to the liturgy of the Prayer Book. Since 2020 he has served as a trustee of the Prayer Book Society.
In his spare time Christopher enjoys sailing, especially Sunbeam Solents, and is a member of Itchenor Sailing Club.
